· Pocklington Dental

Good habits start young. A few simple routines can set your child up for a lifetime of healthy smiles.

Helping children look after their teeth from an early age makes a real difference, both to their dental health and to how comfortable they feel at the dentist as they grow up.

Simple habits that help

  • Brush twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste, for two minutes
  • Supervise brushing until around age seven
  • Keep sugary snacks and drinks to mealtimes
  • Bring your child along to your own appointments so the practice feels familiar

Making visits positive

We work hard to make dental visits a friendly, positive experience for younger patients, focusing on prevention and building confidence. The more relaxed a first visit is, the easier every visit that follows tends to be.
